This piece portrays the feeling of just being, without any concern of judgement or stigmas. Being underwater removes the noise of the world and brings the weightless solitude.

Growing up, as Black girls, we were taught never to let our hair get wet, with the fear that it'll coil up and 'ruin' the style, but in this piece, the hair is in water and allowed to coil as it was made to do. The gold elements signify the divine feeling of being free from society and its pressures.
